Keto Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1/4 cup Parmigiano Reggiano Grated
- 1/4 cup Almond flour
- 1/4 cup Parsley chopped
- 1 clove Garlic minced
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 cup Olive oil for cooking
- Fresh basil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated Parmesan cheese, almond flour, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 12-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and drain the excess oil.
- Serve the meatballs on their own or with your favorite keto-friendly sauce and top with basil.
Air-fryer Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the formed meatballs in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other.
- Cook the meatballs for about 10-15 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown, turning them halfway through cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure that they reach an internal temperature of 160F (71C) or 165F (74C) if you are using turkey or chicken.
- Once they are cooked, remove the meatballs from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Keep in mind that cook time may vary depending on the size of your meatballs and your air fryer, so you may need to adjust the time accordingly.
